2013 League Strategic Goals

Meeting in joint session Nov. 15 – 16 in Sacramento, the officers and directors of the divisions, departments, diversity caucuses, policy committees and board of directors of the League of California Cities adopted the following strategic goals for 2013.

Call for Session Ideas for the 2013 Annual Conference & Expo

The League’s 2013 Annual Conference & Expo will be held Sept. 18 – 20 in Sacramento. The League is currently accepting session ideas through its website at Submissions must include title (up to 10 words), description (100 words) and suggested speaker(s).

City Managers’ Department Now Accepting Submissions for Three Department Awards

Due Friday, Dec. 14

The League of California Cities’ City Managers’ Department annually presents three prestigious awards honoring distinguished members of the department. Please submit your applications by Dec. 14.

City Managers’ Department Meeting Scholarship Deadline Wednesday, Nov. 21

The League of California Cities’ City Managers’ Department will provide a select number of scholarships to Masters of Public Administration graduate students in California who wish to attend the City Managers’ Department Meeting in San Francisco from Jan. 30 – Feb. 1, 2013.

State Water Board Seeks Comments on Draft Phase II Small MS4 General Permit

Today the State Water Board has released the draft Phase II Small MS4 general permit for a 30-day public comment period. The comment period will end on Dec. 17.
