Figures Released Detailing Proposed Augmentation of City Public Safety Grants

Last week, the Board of State and Community Corrections released detailed figures for Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposed augmentations to the $20 million grant for local assistance for realignment implementation allocated to cities as part of the 2012 Budget Act. Gov. Brown proposes to increase the grants by $4 million in the current fiscal year, for a total allocation of $24 million in FY 2012-13 and increases to $27.5 million in FY 2013-14.

SCAG to Host Meeting on CalEnviroScreen on Feb. 5

The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is hosting a meeting in Los Angeles on Feb. 5 with California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) officials discuss the second public review draft of its environmental screen tool, CalEnviroScreen.
