The Local Government Finance Almanac today issued city-by-city and county-by-county Highway User Tax Allocation (HUTA) estimates for FY 2013–14 and FY 2014–15. This report was developed using the Department of Finance’s updated estimates of statewide collections of HUTA for the current fiscal year and the next with a model of the local allocations.

AB 1147 (Gomez) received bipartisan approval from the Assembly this week and is now pending before the Senate Rules Committee for committee assignments. The measure’s passage comes ahead of this week’s deadline requiring bills carried over from the previous 2013 legislative session pass the house they originated in by Friday.
