See How Bakersfield is Showcasing its SB 1 Transportation Funding Investments

Video Serves as Model for Other Cities that Want to Promote Local Projects

April 5, 2018
Repaving roads, fixing potholes and improving pedestrian access are all part of the work the City of Bakersfield has begun thanks to new investments from SB 1 transportation funds.

Bakersfield will receive $86 million of SB 1 funds in the next 10 years and is positioned to receive hundreds of millions of dollars in grants through other SB 1 programs. Check out this video that highlights how Bakersfield is improving road safety for all users.

Cities have an opportunity when starting SB 1-funded road improvements to make sure that their residents know about the benefits of these investments. Bakersfield’s video can be easily replicated in any community and promoted to the local press and via your city’s social media channels.

Don’t forget to use the newly updated press SB 1 Toolkit to help cities inform and educate residents about projects and their benefits.
