Bureau of Cannabis Control Regulations Pending Office of Administrative Law Review

December 10, 2018
The Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) issued its finalized cannabis regulations on Friday, Dec. 3, which do not take into account the concerns of cities.

The League submitted written comments to the BCC expressing concerns over the modified proposed regulations after they were issued on Oct. 19. The modified proposed regulations not only prohibit a city from banning cannabis deliveries within their jurisdiction, they also prevent cities from enacting delivery regulations that work best for their local communities.

Next Steps

The BCC sent its finalized regulations to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL), which now has 30 days to review and determine if the regulations will be implemented as adopted by BCC. If OAL approves these regulations, statewide deliveries would be allowed in every jurisdiction statewide.

The League will continue to update members as developments are made available.
