New Speakers Bureau Offers Information System Professionals to Address Municipal Technology Challenges and Opportunities

The Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) launched a speakers bureau in December to help connect the experts within of the organization with larger audiences. 
 
The organization comprises information technology professionals who serve cities, counties. agencies and special districts throughout California. It promotes the understanding and thoughtful use of information technology within local government agencies; this mission is accomplished through sharing of best practices, advocacy, relationship building, resource cultivation, education and professional development.
 
Speakers’ areas of expertise include:
  • Public Wi-Fi/broadband;
  • Smart cities;
  • Innovative culture;
  • Data analytics;
  • E-government;
  • Electronic political interactions;
  • Strategic planning;
  • Governance;
  • Cybersecurity;
  • FirstNet; and
  • Wireless technologies.
