League Submits Comments to FCC on Wireless Siting

The League submitted comments to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Monday in response to a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that could limit local government authority over siting of wireless facilities. The comments were submitted in conjunction with the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) and the States of California and Nevada Chapter of National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (SCAN-NATOA).

Ken Pulskamp Named CCMF Executive Director

The California City Management Foundation (CCMF) announced the appointment of Kenneth Pulskamp as its next executive director. Pulskamp has more than 35 years of experience in local government administration, including a 10 years as the Santa Clarita city manager.

Application Period Open for California Arts Council Grant Opportunities

Applications are now being accepted for five California Arts Council grant programs, two of which are new programs created by one-time funds from the California State Assembly. Programs support arts education, arts and juvenile justice programs, and arts initiatives aimed at improving communities across the state.
