Legislature Eyeing Payment in Lieu of Taxes Program

The Assembly held a joint informational hearing on Feb. 3 of the Revenue and Taxation, Local Government, and the Housing and Community Development committees to discuss the scope of Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) arrangements and their impact on the nonprofit entity welfare property tax exemption.

DEADLINE: New Convenient Form Available for Required SB 1186 Fee Reporting

Cities are required to transmit and report to the Legislature and Department of General Services Division of the State Architect (DSA) on fees collected under existing law SB 1186 (Chapter 383, Statues of 2012, Steinberg).
