League Co-Sponsored Medical Marijuana Bill Passes First Legislative Committee Milestone

This afternoon the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee voted 8-0 to pass SB 1262 (Correa). The bill, sponsored by the California Police Chiefs Association and co-sponsored by the League, provides the first true regulatory framework for the implementation of Proposition 215 (the Compassionate Use Act).

Hundreds of City Officials Set to Descend Sacramento on Wednesday for the League’s Legislative Action Day

The League is preparing for a busy week in Sacramento with a number of key bills up in legislative policy committees and the organization’s annual Legislative Action Day. This one-day event is designed for city officials hear directly from the League’s officers, lobbyists and key legislators about pressing policy issues and meet with the legislators and their staff in their Capitol offices.
